Mumbai: Maruti has launched its all new Alto K10. With this car, the company has given the tag ‘India Ki Chal Padi’. It is bigger, bolder and more beautiful than the current model. The hatchback is powered by the new-gen K-series 1.0L dual jet, dual VVT engine.
The new Alto K10 measures 3,530mm in length, 1,490mm in width, 1,520mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,380mm. In addition, it is also equipped with many safety features. This car will get Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Reverse Parking Sensor. Its starting ex-showroom price is Rs 3.99 lakh.
Engine of New Maruti Alto K10
The hatchback is powered by the new-gen K-series 1.0L dual jet, dual VVT engine. This engine generates power of 49kW(66.62PS)@5500rpm and maximum torque at 89Nm@3500rpm. The company claims that its automatic variant will give a mileage of 24.90 km/l and the manual variant will give a mileage of 24.39 km/l.

The new Alto K10 car is based on the company’s updated platform Heartect. The new Alto K10 has a 7-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system. This infotainment system has already been given by the company in S-Presso, Celerio and Wagon-R. This infotainment system supports Apple Car Play, Android Auto, besides USB, Bluetooth and AUX cable. In this, the steering wheel has also been given a new design. In this, the infotainment system’s mounted controls have been given on the steering itself.
Safety Features of New Maruti Alto K10
This hatchback will get Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Reverse Parking Sensor. Along with this, the Alto K10 will get pre-tensioner and force limit front seat belt. It will also get reverse parking sensors for safe parking. Along with speed sensing auto door lock and high speed alert, many other safety features have also been provided in the car. It will be available in 6 color options – Speedy Blue, Earth Gold, Sizzling Red, Silky White, Solid White and Granite Grey.
