Technical Issues Disrupt Pune RTO Service: Operations Halted
Technical issues have disrupted services at the Pune RTO service, Regional Transport Office. The Sarathi and Vahan portals record glitches, affecting daily operations. Applicants also faced delays in services like driving license processing and vehicle registration.
The problem began on Monday and continued throughout the week. The disruption caused frustration among citizens visiting the RTO for services.
The Sarathi portal handles driving licenses, while Vahan manages vehicle registration. These systems are crucial for streamlining RTO processes across the state. The technical glitches, however, have halted operations, inconveniencing thousands of applicants.
RTO officials confirmed they are working to resolve the issues. “The technical team is addressing the problem on priority and efforts are underway to restore the portals,” an official said.
The disruption has particularly impacted applicants requiring urgent services. Many individuals reported rescheduling appointments due to system unavailability.

Despite the challenges, Pune RTO Service staff continues to assist citizens manually. However, they acknowledged that manual processes cannot meet the growing demand. Officials urged applicants to remain patient until the portals resume functioning.
