Mumbai: Team India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah’s back injury is still not fully recovered. He has been out of all forms of cricket for several months. Bumrah may need a few more months to recover from the injury. Bumrah will be out of the IPL followed by the World Test Championship (WTC) final too.

Jasprit Bumrah’s injury is going to cost Team India dearly. Because the ODI World Cup will also be held this year. Not only this, due to Bumrah’s injury, the tension of the IPL franchise Mumbai Indians has also increased. If Bumrah is out of IPL 2023, Mumbai will have to find an alternative. Mumbai Indians can replace Bumrah with one of the following bowlers in their squad.

1) Sandeep Sharma :
Sandeep Sharma has performed brilliantly many times in the IPL. Sandeep has taken 114 wickets in 104 matches. Sandeep Sharma has the ability to swing the ball from both sides in the opening overs. So, it should not be surprising if Mumbai team includes him in the team instead of Bumrah.

2) Dhawal Kulkarni :
Fast bowler Dhawal Kulkarni was part of the Mumbai Indians team last year. Kulkarni has also played for Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans in the IPL. The 34-year-old Kulkarni has so far taken 86 wickets in 92 IPL matches. Like Sandeep Sharma, Dhawal can also bowl brilliant swing in the powerplay.

3) Arjan Nagwaswala :
Young left-arm fast bowler Arjan Nagwaswala is yet to make his IPL debut. But he is a player who has been taking wickets consistently in domestic cricket. Mumbai Indians can consider this player as an alternative to Jasprit Bumrah. 25-year-old Arjan Nagwaswala has taken 35 wickets in 25 Mushtaq Ali Trophy matches.
