Mumbai : All is not well in the recent times between Ravindra Jadeja and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Before the start of IPL 2022, Mahendra Singh Dhoni had resigned from the captaincy of CSK and Jadeja was given the command of the team. But the performance of the team under the captaincy of Jadeja was very disappointing and Dhoni again took the captaincy of the team back in his hands. But by then it was too late and Chennai Super Kings were out of the race for the playoffs.
In the recent times, Jadeja was also dropped from the team’s playing XI and in the meantime there have been reports that Jadeja and CSK have unfollowed each other on social media.
In the midst of these reports, now Jadeja can leave CSK’s side as well. The InsideSport has quoted sources close to Jadeja as saying that the Team India all-rounder is “disturbed and deeply hurt” by the CSK management. The source said, “Yes, he (Ravindra Jadeja) is upset and very hurt. The captaincy issue could have been handled better. Everything happened very suddenly. Anyone will be hurt by the way things are made.
When asked whether injury was the reason behind Jadeja’s withdrawal from IPL 2022. The source said on this, ‘I do not want to say much on this. Yes, he was hurt but I don’t know how serious he is. Earlier, CSK had said in the media that Jadeja has been ruled out due to a rib injury. CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan had said that since CSK are already out of the race for the IPL playoffs, the team does not want to risk Jadeja’s injury too much.
