Sinhagad Road Sex-Racket Busted : Prostitution Ring Was Operating in Spa Center
Sinhagad Road Sex-Racket Busted : Pune Police have cracked down on a prostitution racket operating under the guise of a spa in the Dhayari area on Sinhagad Road. The Crime Branch’s Anti-Human Trafficking Unit conducted a raid on the establishment and arrested the spa owner, Joyashree Naren Tamoli, a 32-year-old resident of Nanded Phata.
During the raid, several young women were rescued from the spa center. Police investigations revealed that Tamoli allegedly lured these women into prostitution with promises of employment and financial gain.
Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Chhaya Jadhav from the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit filed a complaint with the Nanded City Police Station. This operation is part of a larger police initiative to combat illegal activities disguised as legitimate businesses.
Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar has directed the police force to intensify its crackdown on such operations. Over the past year, 33 cases related to prostitution rackets operating under the pretext of spas have been registered in the city.
