Rahul Gandhi Demands Immediate Arrest of Adani

New Delhi : On Thursday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi held a press conference and leveled serious allegations against the central government and industrialist Gautam Adani over corruption charges brought by American prosecutors. Rahul Gandhi said, ‘It is clear that Adani has violated Indian and American laws. I am surprised how Adani is still roaming freely in the country?’ Rahul Gandhi alleged that Adani’s projects are under investigation in many countries and that Adani is diminish the reputation of India overseas.

Rahul Gandhi further levelled allegations on PM Modi. He said Narendra Modi gave the slogan- if we are one, we are safe. In India, if Narendra Modi and Adani are one, they are safe. Nothing can be done to Adani in India. Here, a Chief Minister is sent to jail for 15-16 crore rupees’ scam, and Adani is roaming freely after a 2,000 crore scam. Because Narendra Modi is protecting them. The US investigation has stated that Adani has committed crimes in India and the United States. However, no action is being taken against Adani in India.

Rahul Gandhi said that our demand is to arrest Adani and remove SEBI chief Madhabi Puri Buch from her position and investigate her. He also demanded the formation of a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) for investigation. Rahul Gandhi said, ‘As the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, it is my responsibility to bring this issue before the citizen of India. Adani is capturing the country’s resources through corruption. He is helping the BJP. We demand a JPC investigation and Adani’s arrest, but we also know that he will not be arrested because the country’s Prime Minister supports and protects him.

Rahul Gandhi alleged that Madhabi Puri Buch is saving Gautam Adani and the investments of India’s retail investors are at risk. Rahul Gandhi levelled serious allegations against PM Modi. He said, ‘Even if the Prime Minister wants, he cannot do anything against Adani because he is under his control. ‘
