SD Sanap, Senior Meteorologist of IMD Pune stated that a trough and wind confluence over central and adjoining parts of Maharashtra at the lower tropospheric level is influencing the weather. As a result, several parts of Maharashtra, including Pune, are likely to receive rainfall.
Anupam Kashyapi Former IMD Pune Weather and forecasting head added that the combination of high temperatures and moisture incursion is creating atmospheric instability, leading to the possible formation of cumulonimbus clouds in the afternoon.
Temperatures will continue to rise as predicted by the experts. People are advised to take precautions against heat-related health issues and take necessary precautions.
