Pune to Receive Another Vande Bharat Express in 2024 : Pune is set to get its second Vande Bharat Express. It’ll connect Pune and Dhule in the upcoming year. The Vande Bharat Express, known for its speed, comfort, and modern amenities, is already transforming travel in India, and now the Pune-Dhule route will benefit from this high-speed service. This move is expected to significantly enhance regional transport and connectivity.
Congress MP Dr. Shobha Bachhav, representing Dhule Lok Sabha Constituency, recently met with Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in Delhi to propose the introduction of the Vande Bharat Express on both the Pune-Dhule and Mumbai-Dhule routes. Dr. Bachhav emphasized the crucial role of improved transport services in fostering Dhule’s development and linking it more effectively to major cities across Maharashtra.
Currently, Vande Bharat Express trains connect key locations like Mumbai and Shirdi, Mumbai and Solapur, as well as Pune and Kolhapur. The introduction of a Pune-Dhule route would further strengthen Maharashtra’s transportation network and facilitate smoother, faster travel across the region.
Dr. Bachhav has also been vocal about Dhule’s need for better infrastructure, industrial growth, and enhanced travel facilities. She believes that the Vande Bharat Express will be instrumental in linking Dhule with urban hubs, boosting industrial progress and making travel easier for its residents.
In response to the proposal, the Railway Minister has instructed the railway department to conduct a feasibility study to assess the viability of the Pune-Dhule Vande Bharat service. Alongside this, Dr. Bachhav has engaged with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to accelerate key road and bridge projects in Dhule under the National Highway Authority, aiming to enhance the region’s infrastructure.
Additionally, Dr. Bachhav has requested the inclusion of Dhule in the Union Ministry of Health’s plan to establish AYUSH hospitals in select districts, further underlining her commitment to improving healthcare facilities in her constituency.
