Pune School Headmaster Drowns at Kashid Beach During School Trip

Tragedy struck a school trip from Pune on December 27, 2024, as a headmaster drowned at Kashid Beach. The incident occurred during a recreational outing organized for students and staff. The victim, identified as Mr. Ravi Deshmukh, was the headmaster of a prominent Pune school.
Witnesses reported that Mr. Deshmukh entered the water with a few colleagues to enjoy the beach. Despite warnings about strong currents, he ventured further into the sea. Suddenly, a strong wave pulled him under, and he struggled to stay afloat. Efforts by onlookers and lifeguards to rescue him proved unsuccessful.
Local authorities confirmed that Mr. Deshmukh was brought ashore unconscious. Medical personnel at a nearby health center declared him dead upon arrival.
