Dinanath Hospital Administration Denies Allegations
Pune Pregnant Woman Death: A pregnant woman lost her life due to not getting treatment on time at Deenanath Mangeshkar hospital in Pune. The hospital asked to deposit Rs. 10 lakh advace to get her admitted. The deceased woman’s husband, Sushant Bhise, PA to BJP MLA Amit Gorkhe requested to pay two and a half lakh and remaining amount in some time. The deceased woman with twin pregnancy, in severe labor pain didn’t even received the ambulance on time. She was taken to a hospital 25 kilometers away in a private car. She gave birth to twin girls, but her health deteriorated due to not getting proper treatment in time. She died during admission to that hospital. Only if she had received timely treatment, her life would have been saved.
Some ministers and MLAs also called the hospital administration and requested to admit the woman. As the labor pains were increasing, Sushant decided to take Tanisha to Surya Hospital in Wakad. At that time, an ambulance was not available immediately. Finally, she was shifted to the hospital in a private car. She delivered via cesarean section at Surya Hospital. Tanisha gave birth to twin girls. However, as her health deteriorated, she was referred to another hospital. Accordingly, Tanisha was admitted to the nearby Manipal Hospital. By then, it was too late. The pregnant woman’s husband alleged that Tanisha died due to not getting proper treatment in time.
Dr. Dhananjay Kelkar, Director Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital said in a statement that the physical condition of the pregnant woman was critical. Deceased woman’s relatives are levying false allegations. We have submitted a report in that regard to the state government. The news currently coming out in the media is incomplete. The allegations made by them will be investigated.
