Pune Metro : Effective by the end of January 2025, Pune Metro will extend its operating hours on both the Vanaz-Ramwadi and Pimpri-Swargate corridors from the current 10 PM to 11 PM. This decision comes in response to increasing commuter demand, particularly from late-night travelers, including those arriving from the railway station and airport, and those leaving workplaces after dark.

Key Changes:
Increased Train Frequency: Six additional trips will be introduced on both routes after 10 PM, with trains running every 10 minutes.
Enhanced Ridership: On January 1, 2025, Pune Metro recorded a significant surge in ridership, exceeding 200,000 passengers, highlighting the growing popularity of the metro service.
Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha Metro) is currently undertaking the necessary technical preparations to implement the extended hours of operation. The authority has consistently received feedback from commuters, with a strong demand for services to run until midnight and for increased train frequency, especially after both routes became fully operational in October 2024.

Vanaz-Ramwadi: 37-minute travel time
Pimpri-Swargate: 34-minute travel time
Passenger Feedback:
Commuters have expressed the need for extended operating hours, similar to PMPML bus services, to make the metro more accessible to late-night travelers.
