The incident took place early Wednesday morning. A 23-year-old Niraj Prakash Patil, resident of Akurdi, was walking through a lane behind Ratan Talkies. Patil was bitten on the waist by a dog. He filed an FIR at Vishrambag Police Station after the incident.

Dog’s owner has been identified as Manisha Malegaonkar in Police investigation. She is a resident of Budhwar Peth. The woman has been charged under Section 291 for negligent public safety.
