Adv. Ambedkar stated that this is not the first time such an incident of vandalism or desecration of Dr. Ambedkar’s statue or a symbol of Dalit identity has occurred. Workers of the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi from Parbhani district were the first to reach the spot. Due to their protests and demonstrations, the police filed an FIR and arrested one miscreant. However, Adv. Ambedkar has appealed to the Ambedkarite community to maintain peace and not take the law into their own hands. (Parbhani Riots)
