New Aadhaar App: Aadhar Card is an important document if you’re citizen of India. Right from booking a train ticket, flight ticket or hotel, or opening a new bank account, everywhere you’ll be asked to submit your Aadhar Card. Till date, it was necessary to keep your Aadhar Card with you if you’re travelling. But now, you don’t have to worry as Central government has new Aadhar App which allows you to be free from the hassle of carrying hard copy. New Aadhaar Authentication App is in BETA version for now. Central IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav shared the information about this app through a demo video. He has shared this video on X which has details of how this app will work. This app is very simple and user friendly to access. On this app, only you will have to do is scan a QR code and your face through a selfie camera to verify details. This means no card, no photocopy needed.
How it’ll work:
Scan QR Code: QR Code will be available where you’re checking-in.
Scan Your Face: App will open your camera and click a selfie and cross-check with UIDAI Data.
Share Necessary Details: Only those details will be shared which is required at that particular verification.
This will ensure your personal details are not misused which can be the case while sharing hardcopy with strangers.
How it’ll be beneficial:
The app will ensure complete data privacy. It will end the need to carry physical card. It’ll prevent the fraud of fake documentation. It’ll keep the data safe from Cyber Fraud and will be the one step ahead to digital India.
The app is currently in BETA version. This app is not yet available on Google Play Store, so beware of fraud applications until the UIDAI announces official app.
