“We may pray in the mosque not once but a hundred times, but what will our future be if we don’t embrace science and technology?” Gadkari said while addressing the gathering. He recalled that when he was a legislator in Maharashtra, he was allocated an engineering college which he handed over to Nagpur’s Anjuman Islam.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said, “If there’s any section of our society that needs education the most, it’s the Muslim community. Unfortunately, there are mainly five professions which have become popular in this community – tea stalls, paan shops, scrap businesses, truck driving, and cleaning jobs. Our society will develop when we see engineers, doctors, IAS and IPS officers emerging from this community.”
Gadkari said he strongly believes that no person becomes great because of caste, sect, religion, or language but through their qualities. “I don’t discriminate against anyone based on caste, sect, language, or religion. Many things happen in politics, but I’ve made it clear that we will proceed according to our principles. Those who want to vote will vote, those who don’t want to won’t.”
