Mobile Bathroom for Women: A groundbreaking initiative to improve sanitation for women was launched in Kandivali, Mumbai, with the inauguration of India’s first mobile bathroom exclusively for women. The state-of-the-art facility, a brainchild of Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, was made possible through the District Planning Committee of Mumbai Suburban District.
Located in Hanuman Nagar, Kandivali East, this unique bathroom will operate for 12 hours daily and is expected to greatly benefit women living in slum areas by providing them with access to clean and hygienic sanitation facilities.

The inauguration was attended by Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha and MLA Atul Bhatkhalkar. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Lodha said, “This is a significant step towards realizing our vision of a clean India. Through the District Planning Committee, we have successfully implemented India’s first mobile bathroom project. We plan to replicate this model in other areas as well.”
Mobile Bathroom will be operational for 12 hours in the Kandivali Assembly constituency.
