Mumbai : The Mahayuti alliance has achieved a resounding victory in the state assembly elections, while the Maha Vikas Aghadi has faced a major setback. BJP has once again emerged as the largest party. The three major constituent parties of MVA together could not even reach the figure of 75 seats. Meanwhile, now curiosity remains about when the swearing-in ceremony of the new government will take place.

According to sources, the new government’s swearing-in ceremony is likely to take place on either Monday or Tuesday. Reports suggest that the ceremony will be held either at Wankhede Stadium or Shivaji Park. This has heightened curiosity about who will be included in the new cabinet and who will become the Chief Minister.

Defeat of Maha Vikas Aghadi’s Prominent Leaders
The Maha Vikas Aghadi has suffered major setbacks in the Assembly Elections. Congress veteran leader Balasaheb Thorat has been defeated from Sangamner. Similarly, Yashomati Thakur has faced defeat in Tivasa. Congress state president Nana Patole is also reportedly trailing. Like Congress, prominent candidates from Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction) and NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) have also faced defeat.

BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis said, “When someone is deliberately targeted, people notice it. The Maha Vikas Aghadi tried to set a fake narrative, but it failed this time. The people of Maharashtra stand with Prime Minister Narendra Modi – this has been proved once again.”
