Pune : Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Shri Sant Tukaram Maharaj Shila Mandir (PM Modi Dehu Visit) today. Many dignitaries including Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis were present on this occasion.

On this occasion, former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, in a three-minute speech, referred to PM Modi as a true warkari and the pradhan sevak.

Speaking next, PM Modi said his government will spend Rs 11,000 crore on two palkhi margs of 350 km. He added that Sant Tukaram’s abhangs are giving him ‘urja’ and showing him the right direction. The palkhi margs were announced in 2017-18. PM Modi had laid the foundation stone of the work in November 2021.

However, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar was not given chance to speak on this occasion. Now, various reactions from party leaders are coming.

In the same sequence, State Spokesperson Ankush Kakade said, “We are happy that the inauguration ceremony of Sant Tukaram Maharaj Temple was held in the presence of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at Dehu today. But the Deputy CM and Guardian Minister of Pune District Ajit Pawar was not given a chance to speak. The question has arisen among the citizens as to whether this program was held by BJP.”

Speaking further, he said, “Shrirang Barne, MP of this constituency and Shri Sunil Shelke, MLA was not even invited. On the other hand, the MLA from Kothrud constituency was given a chance to sit on the podium. I think all the rules were abandoned. We protest this on behalf of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP)”.
