Pune: Various flowers bloom in spring in the month of Chaitra. Sunflowers are one of these. On this occasion, Pune’s Shrimant Dagdusheth Ganapati Temple is decorated with around 21 thousand sunflowers.
For the first time, 21 thousand sunflowers have been arranged in Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati temple on behalf of Sakata Seed India Pvt Ltd. There was a huge crowd of devotees to capture this incredible decoration in their mobile phones. The sunflowers used in decorated are only those which do not produce oil seeds and these flowers are used for this decoration.
Mahesh Suryavanshi, treasurer of the trust, said that a sunflower festival has been organized today in Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple. The ardhya of these colorful flowers has been offered today to Bappa. A large crowd of devotees was seen since morning to see the arrangement of these flowers.
