Mumbai : To enjoy the natural beauty of the Konkan, the Konkan Railway has launched a transparent roofed Vistadom coach on the Dadar-Madgaon Janshatabdi Express a few years back. Following the response of passengers to this coach, the Deccan Queen has been fitted with such a Vistadome coach. The Vistadome coach is currently getting a good response due to the consecutive holidays. Tourists from all over the country flock to see the beauty of Konkan in the rainy season, so bookings for Vistadome are full even during the coming rainy months.

The Vistadome coach was first added to the Janshatabdi Express in 2018 to enjoy the natural beauty of Konkan on the Mumbai to Goa route. This was followed by the installation of the Deccan Queen Vistadome coach from 26 June 2021.
