Shinde government announces 50K subsidy for farmers who paid loan on time

Mumbai : A very important decision was taken in today’s cabinet meeting headed by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. It was decided to give Rs 50,000 subsidy to farmers who were regularly repaying their loans. The cabinet meeting of the Shinde government was held in Mumbai today.

CM Eknath Shinde further said that some names were omitted from the farmers who were helped by the government during the flood situation in western Maharashtra. However, we have decided not to exclude anyone from this today. A decision was taken today to give 50 thousand rupees to all the farmers who make regular loan repayments. Therefore, nearly 14 lakh farmers of the state will benefit from this. He also said that Rs 6000 crore will be given from the government treasury.

The loan repayment period has been reduced from three years to two years. This decision is considered very important for farmers. At the same time, the plan to provide prepaid meters and smart meters to electricity consumers also has an expenditure of Rs 39 thousand crores. There’s 346 crore expenditure on Mahavitran and BST. About 1 crore 66 lakh customers will benefit from this. Consumers do not need to pay any kind of money to get a meter under smart and prepaid meter scheme.

Electricity tariff cheaper by one rupee per unit
It was decided in today’s meeting that the electricity rate which was 2 rupees 16 paise per unit in Upsa Jalsinchan i.e. medium and high level scheme of farmers, has now been reduced to 1 rupee 16 paise, i.e. a discount of one rupee for the farmers.
