Mumbai: Sanjay Raut has been arrested after being interrogated for eight hours at the ED office. Sanjay Raut was interrogated on the fourth floor of the ED office. Arrest action has been taken after Sanjay Raut’s statement was recorded till late night. Rs. 1034 crore money laundering case is being investigated by ED. ED raided Sanjay Raut’s house at seven o’clock on Sunday morning.
ED’s action against Sanjay Raut in Patra Chal case
ED raided the house of Sanjay Raut on Sunday morning. According to the information provided by Sanjay Raut’s lawyer, his statement was recorded. Sanjay Raut’s lawyer also informed that ED has not received any paper in the correspondence case from Sanjay Raut’s house.
Sanjay Raut’s reaction when he reached the ED office
“It is being done to weaken Shiv Sena and Maharashtra. I am Shivsainik of Balasaheb Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray. I will fight, we will fight, Maharashtra is not that weak, Shiv Sena is not weak,” said Sanjay Raut before his attest.
What exactly is the case of Patra Chal?
In the Patra Chal case, a complaint was lodged that the builder had defrauded of Rs 1034 crore. In 2008, the Patra Chal redevelopment project started. Residents have signed an agreement with MHADA and Builder for the redevelopment of 672 houses in Goregaon, Mumbai. The agreement was signed between Mhada, Guru Ashish Construction Company and the residents. It was decided that out of the total 13 acres of land, four and a half acres would be sold to the original residents and the rest would be constructed by Mhada and the builder. However, it has been alleged that Guru Ashish Builder and the authorities have mutually sold the site to a private builder. Former director of Guru Ashish Company Praveen Raut was arrested by ED in all these cases. Praveen Raut is known to be close to Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut.
