Mumbai: BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule has demanded to register a case of rioting against Raut in. Chandrashekhar Bawankule strongly attacked MP Sanjay Raut’s statement regarding the riots in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and said that due to Khaire-Raut, the atmosphere in the city could deteriorate.

Chandrashekhar Bawankule said that Sanjay Raut’s speech is provocative. However, despite being in the opposition party, we had never made a public statement like Raut. BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule has expressed the opinion that if riots happen again in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, then Thackeray faction leader MP Sanjay Raut should be held responsible.

What did Raut say?
Thackeray faction leader MP Sanjay Raut has accused the Shinde-Fadnavis government that the riots in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar were sponsored by that government. He also said that this conspiracy has been hatched only to stop the meeting of Mahavikas Aghadi. Sanjay Raut said that a meeting of Mahavikas Aghadi is to be held in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on April 2. The riot is a conspiracy behind this. There was no riot in Maharashtra during our government. They (BJP) have governments in Gujarat and Maharashtra. There was no riot when Uddhav Thackeray was the Chief Minister. Why is this happening in your (BJP) state itself? Raut has raised this question.

MLA Sanjay Shirsat said that Sanjay Raut is a fool, the meeting of Mahavikas Aghadi in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar is like a comedy show.

Notably, two groups had a violent clash on Wednesday night near the Ram temple in Kiradpura area of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. On this occasion, many private cars including police vehicles were set on fire. Stone pelting was also done at some places. Even though the situation is under control now, the opposition-government is attacking each other.
