Mumbai: The swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed Governor of the state, Ramesh Bais, was held today. Justice Sanjay Gangapurwala has administered the oath at the Raj Bhavan. A heavy police presence was deployed in front of the main entrance of the Raj Bhavan.
Due to many controversial statements, Bhagat Singh Koshayari’s tenure as Governor was in discussion. Today the new Governor Ramesh Bais has been sworn in as the Governor. Therefore, it will be important to see what will be the role of the new governor in the coming period. State Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was also present in this event.
