Rain & thunderstorms likely in parts of Maharashtra, Deets inside

Mumbai : Due to the rising heat in the state, everyone is eagerly waiting for the rain. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, monsoon rains are expected in the Andaman in the next 24 hours. Heavy rains are also expected along the Kerala coast in the next two days. Along with other Indian states, rain and thunderstorms are expected in nine districts of Maharashtra.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the monsoon is progressing rapidly and is expected to reach the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in 24 hours. Therefore, strong winds, thunderstorms and torrential rains are expected in the next 5 days. It is currently raining heavily in South India. Heavy rains with thunderstorms are also expected in some districts of the state. Other states receiving heavy rains include Assam, Meghalaya and West Bengal.

Heat wave persists in northern India
In North India, however, the heat wave persists. The maximum temperature reached 45 to 49 degrees Celsius.

A 4-day yellow alert has been issued in Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, Solapur and Parbhani, Hingoli, Nanded, Latur and Osmanabad districts of western Maharashtra. The meteorological department has warned of torrential rains with thunderstorms in the next 16 May to 19 May in these nine districts. Light to moderate rains are also expected in Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and Beed districts.
