Mumbai: Orange and yellow alert has been issued by the meteorological department in the state for the next two days. Meanwhile, due to the forecast of rain, the humidity in the air has increased the amount of heat. In the last 24 hours, Chandrapur recorded the highest temperature in the country at 43.2 degree Celsius.
Meanwhile, today (15th) there is a warning of stormy rain in Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha. In the rest of the state, the Meteorological Department has predicted the possibility of rain with lightning.
Thunderstorm warning has been issued in the state from today (15th). Yellow alert has been issued in Pune, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Solapur areas of Madhya Maharashtra.
Along with this, rain is also likely in Dharashiv and Latur areas of Marathwada. Alert has also bee issued for Vidarbha-Buldana, Amravati, Wardha, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli districts.
The temperature has reached 42 degrees in Wardha and 41 degrees in Solapur, Amravati, Nagpur. In the rest of the state, the maximum temperature has increased to between 36 and 41 degrees in most places, and the scorching heat continues to increase. A cyclonic wind condition persists over southwest Rajasthan and surrounding areas at a height of 3.1 km above sea level.
Due to this additional condition, rain warning along with gale force winds, thunder and lightning has been issued in Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha today (15th). The weather department has predicted that the scorching summer will continue for few more days.
