Maharashtra: Unseasonal rain crisis prevails in April, Rain forecast for these districts

Mumbai: Unseasonal rain caused huge losses to the farmers in the month of March. While the work of assessing the damage is going on, there is again possibility of unseasonal rain.

The month of March passed with unseasonal rains. There was a huge loss of agriculture due to this rain. Now the Indian Meteorological Department has predicted rain in some districts of the state.

Senior meteorologist KS Hosalikar tweeted in this regard. There will be another crisis in front of agriculture. Due to the unseasonal rains in the month of March, the farmers suffered huge losses. Their Panchnama is still not completed.

Rain has been predicted in some districts of the state between April 4 and 7. Kolhapur, Satara, Sangli and Solapur are expected to receive rain on April 6 and 7. After that, rain has been predicted in Parbhani, Beed, Hingoli, Nanded, Latur, Dharashiv in Marathwada between April 6 and 7. The Meteorological Department has predicted that Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Nagpur in Vidarbha will receive rain on April 4 and 5.

According to the Meteorological Department, unseasonal rain is occurring due to Western Disturbance. Four Western Disturbances have affected the plains of North West India so far in the month of March. This unseasonal rain is neither beneficial for agriculture nor for health.

Effect of La Nina
La Nina conditions are good for rainfall in the country. La Niña is positive from June to August. But Dr. Mrityunjay Mohapatra said that it is difficult to predict the monsoon so early. We will announce this estimate on April 15.

Generally, there is no rain in March. Unseasonal rains occur at the end of May. But this year, rain has appeared in March itself. Some states in the north-west have also received rain. Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi received rain. Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir, Maharashtra and Rajasthan also received heavy rainfall. The Meteorological Department has said that there has been a huge loss of crops at this place.
