Pune: Kasba Chinchwad by-election battle is currently going on in Pune and Chinchwad. Earlier BJP MLAs were elected on these seats. But after the death of Kasba Constituency MLA Mukta Tilak and Chinchwad Constituency MLA Laxman Jagtap, candidates of BJP and Mahavikas Aghadi are now facing each other for these seats.
Senior leaders of both the major parties are campaigning for their candidates. Today, Sharad Pawar himself will campaign for Mahavikas Aghadi’s Kasba constituency candidate Ravindra Dhangekar and Chinchwad constituency candidate Nana Kate. Then tomorrow on February 23, Yuva Sena chief Aaditya Thackeray is coming to Pune to campaign for Kasba constituency. Both the major parties have put their full strength for this election.
