India’s richest builder Lodha in Shinde cabinet; Know his political importance

Mumbai: Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were being criticized for no cabinet expansion even after government formation for long.However, now the cabinet expansion has been completed and many MLAs of BJP and Shinde group have taken oath as ministers.

These include Deepak Kesarkar, Shambhuraj Desai, Gulabrao Patil. The Maha Vikas Aghadi government in the state fell after the MLAs of the Shinde group revolted. After that, many MLAs went to the Shinde group. It was also said that these MLAs were given a special offer i.e. ministerial post. Since then, there was a lot of discussion about who will get which post. At last, this discussion has come to an end and the MLAs have got a respectable position in the Shinde-Fadnavis government.

The first cabinet expansion of the state has taken place today. In it, 9 people from BJP and 9 people from Shinde group have been given opportunity. Mangal Prabhat Lodha, who is known as the richest builder in the country, has been given an opportunity by the BJP. Also, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Sudhir Munguntiwar, Chandrakant Patil, Vijaykumar Gavit, Girish Mahajan have also taken oath as ministers.

Who is Mangalprabhat Lodha?
The richest construction businessman of the country has been given an honorable position in the cabinet by BJP. Mangalprabhat Lodha is the son of freedom fighter and retired judge Guman Mal Lodha. He started working as an activist of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. He is a BJP MLA from Malabar Hill Constituency. He has been elected from this constituency since 1995. Lodha is named among the famous and rich builders of the country. Lodha studied LLB in Rajasthan. Then he started advocacy. But, as his father was a judge in the court, he left his advocacy and came directly to Mumbai.

Meanwhile, in 1982, with the help of a friend, he started a business of buying and selling land at Nalasopara and in this business he made a fortune. His political journey was from Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad to BJP. In 1995, he was nominated from Malabar Hill Constituency. Then the then urban development minister BS Desai was defeated.
