New Delhi: Another defamation case has been filed against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. The case has been filed by Satyaki Savarkar, grandson of one of the siblings of poet and freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. According to the complaint, Rahul Gandhi made false allegations against Savarkar during his address in London.

Speaking to ANI on Wednesday, Satyaki alleged that Rahul made derogatory remarks during his recent visit to the United Kingdom this year. Rahul Gandhi went to England last month and remarked in a meeting that Veer Savarkar wrote in his book that he along with his 5-6 friends beat up a Muslim and Veer Savarkar enjoyed it. This comment is an insult because that is a figment of his imagination.

He said, Veer Savarkar did not write such things in any book. Satyaki Savarkar said that Rahul Gandhi has been giving wrong statements against Veer Savarkar for some time now. It is very important to stop him. Earlier, the Congress leader was disqualified from the Lok Sabha after being held guilty of criminal defamation over his remark on the surname ‘Modi’.
