Central Railway : Pune Division collects fine of ₹1.60 Cr from ticketless passengers in January

Pune: During ticket checking on Pune Division of Central Railway in the month of January, 20 thousand 657 people were found travelling without tickets and a fine of more than Rs 1 crore 60 lakh 84 thousand was collected from them.

Along with this, 7103 people were fined more than Rs 41 lakh for travelling irregularly, while a fine of Rs 26 thousand was collected from 246 people for carrying unbooked luggage.

In the period of 10 months from April to January this year, more than 20 crore 39 lakh rupees were recovered as fine. This action was taken by ticket checking inspectors under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Mrs. Indu Dubey and in coordination with Additional Divisional Railway Manager Brijesh Kumar Singh and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Dr. Milind Hirve and Divisional Commercial Manager Dr. Ramdas Bhise.
