Mumbai: Pune builder Avinash Bhosale has been arrested by the CBI. Avinash Bhosale had already been questioned in various cases. He was finally arrested by the CBI today. He was charged in the DHFL scam.
Between April and June of that year, thousands of crores of rupees were transferred from one account to another. It involved large industrial companies. It included Avinash Bhosale, Sanjay Chhabria, Balwa and Goenka. The CBI had also conducted a raid in the case in late April. The case is currently making headlines in the state. What exactly is the case?
Yes Bank’s then chairman Rana Kapoor had invested Rs 3,700 crore in DHFL through debt securities. It was revealed that Rana had received a bribe of Rs 600 crore. DHFL then diverted the money to Chhabria’s Radius Group, Bhosale’s Infra Limited and Balwa and Goenka’s company. After the arrests, the CBI raided Bhosle, Balwa and Goenka. DHFL, Diwan Housing Finance Limited, had borrowed Rs 750 crore from Yes Bank. But it was not used, the investigation revealed.
