Athawale shows displeasure with Shinde-Fadnavis govt, Said – Govt is not giving us importance

Mumbai: “We want to stay with BJP and Balasaheb’s Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) in the upcoming Zilla Parishad, Panchayat Samiti and Municipal Corporation elections. They must also consider us. However, BJP and Eknath Shinde are not giving importance to the Republican Party in particular”, said Union Minister Ramdas Athawale and shared his thought about being neglected.

He was speaking at a one-day study camp of the Republican Party of India (Athwale group). Senior writer and Ambedkarite Dr. Sharankumar Limbale, Seematai Ramdas Athawale, State President Rajabhau Sarvade, Central General Secretary Avinash Mahatekar, General Secretary Gautam Sonawane, Working President Baburao Kadam, West Maharashtra President Suryakant Waghmare, Working President Ashok Gaikwad and others were present.

National President of RPI and Union Minister of State for Social Justice Ramdas Athawale said, “We are with the BJP and the Shinde group, having faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Despite ideological differences, our mission is to reach power. Many people meet through power and their work is done. Therefore power is necessary. However, we should not stop the work of the movement, we should keep the movement alive. Dalits and tribals should get reservation in the private sector, efforts should be made in this regard. There is a need to discuss important demands and questions in the National Committee and decide the direction.”
