Anil Parab’s difficulty increases, ED raids in disputed Sai resort case

Murud : BJP leader Kirit Somaiya had repeatedly accused state transport minister Anil Parab (Anil Parab Sai resort case). Two days ago (May 19), the ED raided the properties of Anil Parab. The raids were carried out at Anil Parab’s house and seven other places belonging to him.

The incident caused a stir in political circles. Now, it is learned that documents related to the controversial Sai Resort case have now been seized by the ED.

According to the information received, after raiding the controversial Sai Resort in Murud, the ED officials have seized the documents related to the resort from Murud Gram Panchayat. Sources said that the ED officials got the information by going to the Murud Gram Panchayat office after applying.

What is Somaiya’s allegation in Sai Resort case?

  • Sai Resort is illegal. Somaiya has also accused him of using black money for the construction of the resort.
  • In March 2022, the Government of India filed a petition in the Dapoli Court seeking criminal charges against Anil Parab.
  • The Ministry of Environment, Government of India, on January 31, 2022, ordered that the resort be demolished within 90 days as it was illegal.
  • The Government of India issued a show cause notice to the resort on 17 December 2021. The resort’s non-farm (NA) order was revoked as it was obtained through forgery.
  • The resort was inaugurated on 12 March 2021.
  • On December 30, 2020, Anil Parb sold the resort and the site to Sadanand Kadam for Rs 1.10 crore. The agreement was made as agricultural land.
  • In March 2020, an application was made to MSEDCL for commercial electricity connection for the resort.
  • In December 2020, Anil Parab paid the house rent / tax for the year 2020-21 to the Gram Panchayat.
