Maha Kumbh 2025 Special Train: A special train service has been announced to facilitate travel for devotees attending the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj in 2025. To accommodate the anticipated surge in passenger traffic during the Mahakumbh, the Hubballi-Varanasi special train will operate six round trips.
Train No. 07383 (Hubballi to Varanasi): Departures from Hubballi are scheduled for 8:00 AM on February 14th, 21st, and 28th, 2025. The train will arrive in Varanasi at 5:30 AM on the third day.
Train No. 07384 (Varanasi to Hubballi): Departures from Varanasi are scheduled for 5:00 AM on February 17th and 24th, and March 3rd, 2025. The train will arrive in Hubballi at 12:45 AM on the third day.
The train composition will include one AC 2-tier coach, four AC 3-tier coaches, eleven sleeper coaches, one general second-class seating coach with a guard’s brake van, and a generator car. The train’s route will traverse Miraj, Sangli, Kirloskarwadi, Karad, Satara, Pune, Daund chord line, Ahmednagar, Kopargaon, Manmad, and Bhusawal.
In addition to the Hubballi-Varanasi service, the railway department has announced extra trains to Danapur. These include two special trains from Bidar, four from Charlapalli, and four from Machilipatnam to Danapur. Central Railway is operating a total of 42 special trains for the Mahakumbh Mela, encompassing 18 services between Mumbai and Banaras/Mau, 12 between Nagpur and Danapur, and 12 between Pune and Mau. This comprehensive network of special trains aims to provide convenient and comfortable travel options for pilgrims participating in the Mahakumbh Mela.
