New Delhi : IPL 2025 Auction : Arshdeep Singh attracted massive bids at the IPL 2025 auction. Punjab Kings bought him for 18 crore rupees. Several teams were eager to acquire Arshdeep, with the final bid reaching 15.75 crore. Sunrisers Hyderabad wanted to buy him, but Punjab used their RTM (Right to Match) card. After this, Hyderabad made a final bid of 18 crore rupees, and Punjab agreed to match this price for Arshdeep.

 

Arshdeep Singh’s base price was 2 crore, and Chennai made the first bid for him. A bidding war ensued between Delhi Capitals and Chennai. When the price reached 7.50 crore, Gujarat Titans showed interest. At 10 crore, RCB joined the bidding. Then at 11 crore, Rajasthan Royals entered the race. At 12.75 crore, Sunrisers Hyderabad made their bid. However, in the end, Arshdeep returned to Punjab Kings.

He is currently considered Team India’s one of the most important T20 players. Arshdeep has taken numerous wickets in T20 cricket, with 95 wickets in 60 T20 internationals. His specialty is taking wickets both in powerplay and death overs.

Arshdeep Singh debuted for Punjab Kings in 2019 and played 65 matches until 2024, taking 76 wickets. During this time, he achieved one five-wicket haul and two four-wicket hauls.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction is being held over two days. Today (November 24) is the first day of the IPL auction, taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. A total of 577 players are up for auction, with a maximum of 204 players able to be sold. This is IPL’s 18th auction.
