In the series deciding third T20I held in DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai, the team delivered a stellar performance to seal the series with a 60-run triumph. By Batting first, the hosts scored a massive total of 217/4, their highest score in T20Is. The run total was powered by Smriti Mandhana’s third consecutive half-century. Richa Ghosh’s rapid fifty, achieved her the title for the fastest half-century in women’s T20 cricket.
The West Indies fell short of their target, managing to score only 157/9 in 20 overs. Radha Yadav spearheaded the Indian bowling attack with impressive figures of 4/29. The team effectively restricted the West Indies thus securing the series.
The series began with a strong note for India, with a convincing 49 -run victory in the opening match. Despite the initial setback, the West Indies bounced back with an impressive force in the second game, securing a dominant nine-wicket win.
