Pune: Unknown man booked for sharing child pornography video on FB

Pune: A video of child sexual abuse was shared by a person from Nandur Ghat taluka Kaij in Beed district through Facebook from Pune. A case has been registered under the Child Sexual Abuse Act and the Information Technology Act at the Beed Cyber Thane after the report given by Facebook to the Maharashtra Cyber Crime Cell.

Some software, including Internet Service Providers, is used to collect child pornography Internet information. Child Pornography or to create or search and share obscene video images, photos or digital materials using images of children or images that look like children is an offense under the POCSO Act.

Meanwhile, it came to light that a similar video was shared by a person from Nandur Ghat in Beed district through Facebook. In this case, the cyber crime department of the state has sent a letter to the Beed police department and ordered to register a case in this regard. Due to this, the Beed Cyber Cell has registered a case against this person and the police administration is currently searching for him.

Child pornography is a serious crime under the law and this crime is non-bailable. Sharing videos, searching for videos or watching videos related to child pornography is an offense under cyber crime. If a child sexual abuse video is searched or shared by mistake, a non-bailable offense can be booked against that person under the law.
