What does Murmu do after waking up in the morning?
President Murmu wakes up every morning at 3.30 am. After this she does morning walk and yoga for about an hour. Then she cleans the temple herself. She washes the temple with water and then worships. Murmu meditates daily for about an hour.
President Murmu is a great devotee of Shiva. She joined the Brahmakumari Sansthan after losing two sons and a husband. Simple snacks and meals
President Draupadi Murmu takes breakfast after meditation and worship. In breakfast, she definitely takes dry fruits like cashews and almonds. During this time she also reads newspapers and some spiritual books. Then according to her program, she gets involved in solving the problems of public. Murmu tries to communicate directly with the public every day, so that the problems of the common people can be solved.
Murmu is a pure vegetarian. She doesn’t even eat onions and garlic. She loves Odisha’s sweet Chenna Poda. Apart from this, she also likes Pakhaal i.e. water rice and Sajna i.e. drumstick. There is also a drumstick tree in Murmu’s house.
The President’s lunch is also. She prefers Rice, vegetables and roti. She definitely takes Turmeric milk and fruits at night.

President Draupadi Murmu is also fond of cooking. Her relatives tell that she is a very good cook. She also taught cooking to many people in her house. Apart from this, whenever there are festivals and big events, Murmu likes to cook and feed others by herself.
Born in a tribal family
Draupadi was born on 20 June 1958 in Baidposi village of Mayurganj district of Odisha. Draupadi belongs to the Santhal tribal ethnic group. His father Biranchi Narayan Tudu was a farmer. Draupadi has two brothers.
Draupadi was married to Shyamacharan Murmu. They had two sons and two daughters. A daughter died in the year 1984. Draupadi’s childhood was spent in extreme deprivation and poverty. But she did not let his situation come in the way of her hard work. She completed her graduation from Ramadevi Women’s College, Bhubaneswar. Draupadi Murmu became a teacher to teach the daughter.
Draupadi was the first girl in the village to go to college
Murmu did her schooling in the village. From 1969 to 1973, she studied in Adivasi Residential School. After this, she joined Rama Devi Women’s College, Bhubaneswar, to graduate. Murmu was the first girl from her village to reach Bhubaneswar after completing her graduation.
