PM Modi declares one day of mourning in India to honour ex-Japan PM

New Delhi – Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has passed away. The attacker had fired two bullets at him during a speech in Nara town.  There were reports that he had bullet marks in his neck and chest.  Also, he had suffered a heart attack on the way to the hospital. Despite the best efforts of the doctors, he could not be saved. At the same time, Shinzo Abe’s wife Aki Abe has reached the hospital.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced 1 day of mourning in his honor on July 9 to honor the former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. 

PM Modi tweeted, “I am shocked and saddened beyond words at the tragic demise of one of my dearest friends, Shinzo Abe.”
