Modi government’s 9 years: Govt to announce many schemes ahead of 2024 polls

New Delhi: The Modi government, which is going to enter its ninth year next month, is preparing a comprehensive strategy to celebrate the occasion. General elections are due next year. Keeping this in view, the government is focusing on publicity to tell people about the long-term consequences of its schemes launched for the welfare of the poor i.e. ‘second order effect’.

According to government sources, the long-term effect refers to how welfare schemes or measures, apart from having a direct positive impact, also bring indirect benefits to the people. The focus of the government will be to highlight the schemes that have touched the lives of a large number of people across the country and uplifted their standard of living. Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar said that a social welfare system is being created in India through several schemes which are changing the socio-economic scenario of the country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit three southern states of Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka in the last two days of this week. During this, PM will announce many things including Vande Bharat Express train for Telangana and Tamil Nadu, while after visiting Bandipur Tiger Reserve in Karnataka, he will address the program organized on completion of 50 years.

PM will first reach Telangana on 8th April. After flagging off the 11th Vande Bharat Express at Secunderabad station here, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development projects at Parade Ground Hyderabad. In afternoon, he will leave for Chennai. Apart from flagging off the 12th Vande Bharat Express at MGR railway station here, he will also inaugurate the new Integrated Airport Terminal of Chennai Airport. PM will be on Karnataka tour on Sunday. After visiting the Bandipur Tiger Reserve here at 7.15 am, he will participate in the program organized on the completion of 50 years of Project Tiger.
