Misconceptions being spread to stop India from becoming ‘Vishwa Guru’ : RSS Chief

Mumbai: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief (RSS Chief) Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said that bad propaganda is being spread about India to stop it from moving towards becoming a ‘Vishwaguru’. Speaking at an event in Mumbai, Bhagwat said that after 1857 (after the First War of Independence), few misconceptions were spread about the country, but Swami Vivekananda gave a befitting reply to such elements.

He said these misconceptions are being spread again to slow down our progress as “nobody in the world can argue with us on the basis of logic”. Bhagwat further said, “We are going to become Vishwaguru in the next 20-30 years. For this, we need to prepare at least two generations who will bring change. India has achieved a lot in the last few years, but to counter the spread of disinformation globally, the country needs to groom generations and “attract the best of the world”.”

The RSS chief said, “After 1857, some misconceptions were spread against us. It was Swami Vivekananda who gave a befitting reply to those who looked down upon us.”
