Pune : Due to technical problem in several districts of Maharashtra, the functioning of passport offices was affected today (July 25).
It is being told that due to the server down, the operation of many passport offices in the state has come to a standstill. Due to this people are facing lot of trouble. Apart from Maharashtra, server down has also been reported in passport offices of Goa and Gujarat.
The passport office servers in Amravati also shut down around 10 am. But it was back normal at around 2.15 pm.
According to reports, the work of passport offices in Pune, Parbhani, Amravati districts was affected. People are facing a lot of problems due to complete stoppage of work in many places. Server down boards have been put up outside the passport offices.
People were given today’s appointment for various passport related works. Accordingly those who had appointments today had reached to the respective passport offices.
People were seen waiting for hours outside and inside passport offices in Pune, Amravati and Parbhani. At the same time, people raised the question that when the server was down since morning, why no mail or message was sent to them in this regard from the passport office.
