Srinagar: A major accident took place in Chandanwadi of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. Here the bus carrying ITBP jawans engaged in Amarnath Yatra duty met with an accident. Rescue operation is on. There are reports of many people getting injured in this accident. The bus carrying ITBP jawans was going from Chandanwadi to Pahalgam. Then the bus fell into the ditch due to the failure of the brakes of the bus.
There were 39 soldiers in this bus. Of these, 37 jawans were from ITBP, while 2 were from Jammu and Kashmir Police. An official said that after receiving the news of the accident, police and other officials reached the spot and the jawans were rushed to the hospital. The bus crashed near Chandanwadi area of Pahalgam. It is coming to the fore that 6 soldiers were martyred in the accident. Although, its official information has not been given yet.
