Mumbai : Rain continues to wreak havoc in many parts of Maharashtra including Mumbai. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg of Maharashtra till July 9. On the other hand, a red alert has been issued in Palghar, Pune, Kolhapur and Satara till July 8. Apart from this, Mumbai and Thane are on orange alert till July 10.
Due to the rains in Mumbai, the situation of water-logging is also arising at many places. For the last few days, the Meteorological Department had given orange alert in Mumbai and Maharashtra. At the same time, a red alert has been issued in Mumbai and Maharashtra for today. When it rains, Mumbai comes to a standstill. On one hand people have to face traffic due to rain. On the other hand, people have to face a lot of trouble due to water-logging.
There is a possibility of heavy rain in Mumbai today as well. Heavy rain is expected in the city and suburbs. Along with this, strong winds reaching 40-50 kmph are also likely.
