Covid-19 Maharashtra: Administration cautious, Mask mandatory for Govt officials & employees

Pune: In view of the rise in the number of Covid-19 and Influenza cases in Maharashtra, the Satara district administration has made it mandatory for the employees and officers working in government and semi-government offices, colleges and banks to wear masks.

This order issued by District Collector Ruchesh Jaivanshi on Monday was implemented with immediate effect. He appealed to the people to use masks and maintain social distancing and hygiene in crowded places like weekly market, bus stands, gatherings, and weddings.

According to the Health Department, after the arrival of 248 new cases of Covid-19 in Maharashtra on Monday, the total number of infected people has increased to 81,45,590. At the same time, the number of patients under treatment in the state is 3,532. According to the health department, after the death of one person due to corona virus on Monday, the total number of people who lost their lives due to the epidemic in the state so far has increased to 1,48,445. On Sunday, 562 new cases of Covid-19 were registered in Maharashtra.
