New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha over the Adani Group issue. Lok Sabha Secretariat has now issued a notice to Rahul Gandhi in this case. The Lok Sabha Secretariat has asked to reply to the notice by February 15. BJP has sought Rahul Gandhi’s apology over this remark on PM Modi.

What did Rahul Gandhi say?
While replying to the President’s address, Rahul Gandhi criticized Prime Minister Modi over the Adani case. “Modi visits Israel and many defense contracts go to Adani’s companies. When Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, the industrial world of the country was against him. When Adani stood by Modi during that period, their relationship was local, then it became Gujarat-wide. After Modi became Prime Minister, this relationship with Adani became national, now it has become international,” Rahul Gandhi said.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on the Lok Sabha Secretariat’s notice to Rahul Gandhi said that whatever Rahul Gandhi said in the Parliament is already in the public domain, which everyone speaks and writes. He has said the same thing. There is nothing unparliamentary in this. So he will reply to the notice accordingly.

After this ruckus, Rajya Sabha proceedings have been adjourned till 11 am on March 13 amid sloganeering by opposition MPs on the Adani issue. The second part of the budget session will begin on March 13.

Jagdeep Dhankhar expressed displeasure over the sloganeering of opposition MPs
Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar said that obstruction is being done deliberately and this is not the way to run the House. We’ve already wasted enough time. If the House is subjected to such disruption, I will be constrained to act as per the expectation of the people.
