Amul-Mother Dairy again hikes milk prices

New Delhi: The common man has got another shock of inflation. Amul and Mother Dairy have increased the price of milk by Rs 2 per liter. The new rate will be applicable from August 17.

Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation produces and sells milk and dairy proctors under the brand Amul. Amul has increased the price of milk in all markets including Ahmedabad, Saurashtra, Delhi, NCR, West Bengal, Mumbai in Gujarat. Earlier in March this year also, Amul and other brands had increased the price of milk.

Meanwhile, Mother Dairy has also announced an increase of Rs 2 per liter in the price of milk from Wednesday. The company attributed this to increase in procurement and cost. Mother Dairy is a major supplier in Delhi-NCR and the company sells 3 million liters of milk every day through poly packs and wedding machines.
