New Delhi : Protest continues for the fourth day in Rajasthan regarding the Agneepath scheme. Even today in Rajasthan, youth are protesting in large numbers in many districts. During this, the protesters also clashed with the police. Hundreds of youths preparing for the army jammed the Jaipur-Delhi National Highway in Behror of Alwar district, adjoining Haryana.

During this stone pelting also took place. The protesters also clashed with the police stationed here. A large number of police personnel have also been deployed on different parts of the highway. In Jhunjhunu district also, students have tried to block the road. It is being told that there has also been a clash between students and police in Chirawa town here.

In view of the demonstration in all the districts, security forces have been put on alert. Police is on alert mode. The administration is also keeping an eye on social media.

A bandh has been called in Bihar today in protest against the Agneepath scheme. This bandh has been called by Lalu Prasad Yadav’s party RJD, which has also been supported by Mukesh Sahni’s party VIP and Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party ‘Hum’. Meanwhile, as a precautionary measure, mobile internet has been shut down in most districts of Bihar to stop rumours. Today is the fourth day of protest against the Agneepath scheme and protests are going on in many states including Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana.

Now with the coming of political parties in this protest, its prevalence is likely to increase further. On Friday, protesters torched trains at several places in Bihar. Apart from this, some bogies of a train were also burnt in Ballia, UP. On the other hand, at the Secunderabad railway station in Telangana, the police had to open fire to deal with the miscreants and one person was killed in this.

The opposition to the Agneepath scheme has now reached Supreme Court. By filing an application in the Supreme Court, a demand has been made to constitute an expert committee on this scheme of recruitment in the army and get it investigated. It has been said in the application that a retired justice of the Supreme Court should be appointed the chairman of this committee. There should be a review by the committee that how this recruitment scheme will affect the security of the army and the country. Only then it should be considered for implementation.
