Hadapsar Railway Station Revamp : The Pune railway administration has launched an extensive modernization project at Hadapsar Railway Station, marking a significant upgrade to the city’s transportation infrastructure. The ₹135-crore development includes the demolition of existing railway quarters and RPF police chowky to accommodate ambitious expansion plans.

The comprehensive project, implemented under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS), features substantial improvements including:
– Platform extensions spanning 600 metres
– Conversion of goods line to passenger coaching line
– Addition of a new goods line
– Construction of a modern station building
– Enhanced circulating area and parking facilities
– New water supply infrastructure
Pune Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Indu Dubey highlighted the airport-style facilities being incorporated, including:
– Modern lifts and escalators
– 12-meter-wide foot overbridge
– Roof plaza
– Upgraded waiting rooms
– New retiring rooms
The project has already achieved several milestones, with platforms 1, 2, and 3 successfully extended to accommodate 24-coach trains, significantly improving passenger capacity and convenience.
This renovation, executed by the Gati Shakti unit of Pune railway division, represents a major step forward in modernizing Pune’s railway infrastructure while enhancing the overall passenger experience at Hadapsar Station.
